A nice article; but Austria wont be the first. Indonesia made it mandatory almost a year ago.

As bad as it is in the West, and it is bad, people keep overlooking some of the major population centres of the world. SEAsia is not in good shape imho.

I see many people struggling with mask arguments in Western supermarkets and I wonder how they would manage machine gun posts, squalid camps or being extorted by men in uniform even if they've been jabbed 3 times & are wearing a mask.

Yeah - I confess I don't really know too much about what's happening in SE Asia - I will try to improve on my "west"-centric approach. I wasn't aware that Indonesia had mandated vaccination for everyone. It's appalling wherever it happens - and more than a little terrifying. I'm OK confronting anger at my maskless face in the local Tesco - not sure how I'd fare against the machine guns and uniforms :-(
