It has been about 4 years since the world became addicted to Pandemic Porn and went a little Chinese bat (shit) crazy. What I want to do is to provide a summary (although it will be a long one) of what happened, or at least my best current assessment of what happened, because there are profound disagreements.
Seemingly they can only identify approx 64% of respiratory infections in a given year but this never involved an indiscriminate mass use of a throat and nasal swab that can pick up virtually anything they care to look for. There are viruses every year some are bad years and some are not, so 2020 may have been a bad year for catching a virus. This whole debacle has been about the response of the government, science and medical collective, this response turned our world upside down and caused fear, hysteria and badly damaged many lives. We were driven to this dystopian reaction to an infection with lies built upon lies and it came from all directions, government, media, public health and scientists. I will never forget a public health figure telling us our lives will be forever altered because of this "deadly virus". Their response killed people and many were unnecessary collateral damage.
It's hugely frustrating that most people would now prefer to put it all behind them and not think about what was done to us. Maybe there'll be a ITV drama in 15 years and people will be outraged about it then.
Ever since we, for a plet-hora of reasons, put the Covid Cult to shame, our governement and its officials and civil servants have been courted by and under pressure from the WEF and WHO.
The points made: that Sweden must get in line with protocol, change its laws and so on so that we too are ready for (dunn-dunn-DUNN) the Next Pandemic.
Call me conspiracist but I do think this is to prevent us from again proving them wrong. Sadly, our governement is top-loaded with globalist neoliberals and WEF-alumni so the odds are they'll change the relevant laws making lock-downs, house-arrests, and enforced vaccination legal.

Because until 1976/1979 we had a state-run eugenics programme initited by the Socialist Democrat party in the 1920s, fully legal, with enforced abortions and sterilisations of handicapped people. That plus Neurosedyn, Sulfapral and other medicinal scandals of the 1960s and 1970s when capitalist pharmaceutical corporations foisted shoddy crap onto people using false research to get the drugs approved.
Had a look at the official data. 20 680 dead from January 1st 2020 to March 11 2024. That's from Covid, where Covid-infection was the deciding factor or tipping point for the deceased in question.

I've wondered about a mixture of things causing covid. I agree with you, a small number of people were sick in a different way. Causes could have been a mixture of 1. natural biological (colds, flus and pneumonias), 2. lab created biological (which would be a bio weapon), 3. chemical poisoning of some sort, introduced to populations in different ways, and 4. poisoning or weakening of populations in the years before covid (like through trivalent vaccines given in Italy and vaping illnesses a year or two before covid). The fifth unknown is 5G, and human adjustment to this level of electromagnetic waves, and how 5G might be affecting some people's immune systems. As I recall Wuhan and New York had 5G at the time of covid spread.
It makes sense to consider all other possible sources of this new and different illness considering the way SARS CoV2 was sequenced - in my understanding, that full genetic SARS CoV2 sequence was never found in any person. What was found in some sick people were genetic strands that had a certain percentage similarity to other previously found coronaviruses. Additionally, SARS Cov2 and the other similar coronaviruses have never been put into a living thing to see if they cause illness. So to me, you have to consider other causes of illness or poisoning.
