As Scotistan wakes up to the fact that everyone’s going to have to learn to speak Glaswegian so that no one can understand a word of what they’re saying, we hope Humza Yousuck, Scotistan’s version of a demented Austrian with a strange moustache, had a very good April McFool’s Day.
Yes - the much-vaunted “hate speech” legislation came into force yesterday in Scotistan.
Nobody can properly define what ‘hate speech’ actually is, but that’s OK because non-hateful people can’t properly define what a woman is, either. Only hateful people can do that, because saying that a woman is an adult human female will certainly be classed as “hate speech” in Humza’s new McParadise.
As far as the LGBWTF lobby goes it will have little effect; Scotland has always been tolerant of trans people
I am sad to say that I completely missed Trans Visibility Day. Oh well, it will be yet another year of complete invisibility until the next one. It’s such a shame that we don’t do better at this. We should have rainbow flags everywhere, maybe even have to announce our pronouns to everyone, and be relentlessly teaching our kids about how wonderful it is to be trans.
I know, how about we have an entire month of parades and stuff to celebrate it1?
Oh wait . . .
Meanwhile, in changing rooms in Scotland
It looks like “hate” against trans people should be defined as anything that goes against the wishes and demands of the lunatic fringe of the LGBWTF lobby.
A few years ago Humza Yousuck gave a famous speech in which he spits out the word “white” repeatedly in a very dismissive way. We could apply the same technique and spit out the word hate
Transwomen are men : hate
Women should have access to single-sex spaces : hate
Only women should compete in women’s sports : hate
I will use the pronouns associated with your biological sex : hate
Sex is recorded at birth, not assigned : hate
It’s not right to induce lactation in males so that they can breastfeed : hate
Trans rapists should not be allowed in women’s prisons : hate
If you have the misfortune to be classed as a TERF, or someone like JK Rowling, then it’s OK to hate you. Someone won’t be prosecuted for that; it won’t be classed as a hate crime. Only special people should be protected from hate.
It doesn’t apply to YOU, you fucking useless cisheteronormative waste of oxygen.
And if you’re old, you should have euthanized yourself a long time ago, you useless unproductive scumbag. If you were also assigned white at birth, there’s no hope for you. Your only chance is to jump on the rainbow wagon and queer your way up the intersectional victim podium.
All of the McSnark aside, this new McLegislation is just par for the course amongst the “enlightened” western nations. We have the Germans investigating people for posting cartoons of those famously vicious right wingers known as Smurfs. The Canazidans are proposing to jail people for life for saying hurty things, and in Australia they’re probably going to be allowed to barbecue a hater during the Summer months - should taste great with a cold Fosters (or a Bud Lite).
The ‘elite’ have defined hate and misinformation as the most pressing “threats” to civilisation (as they see it). Tech firms like FaceCuck are already simping their way into the sweaty underpants of the elite.
Elon, however, is trying to resist, albeit imperfectly. This naughty boy is still allowing people to (more or less) say what they want to say. But as CJ Hopkins has found, the Germans can still get you for saying that Nazism is bad on Twitter.
They’ll get you every time using the steaming pile of horseshit known (roughly) as postmodernism. In this ‘philosophy’ it seems that words can mean whatever the fuck you want them to mean. In fact, it’s better that words don’t mean anything properly. If you allow the definitions of words like systemic racism, women, hate, misinformation, and the rest, to be meaning-fluid2, then they can shaft you at any moment of their choosing.
They can choose to label investigative counselling for a gender-confused child as “conversion therapy” - and then you’re the bad guy for wanting to actually help someone. They can choose to label dismissal of an ideology as dismissal of a person - and then you’re on the naughty hate-step.
This is the way they’ll get you, every time. Don’t like Islam? You Islamophobe. Don’t like trans ideology? Transphobe. And so on.
It’s not OK to hate trans people. Not OK at all. I don’t hate trans people.
I do hate the fucking stupid, incoherent, and dangerous ideology that has grown up around trans, though.
There are some really serious, and seriously difficult, issues to resolve around trans. One of them is the obvious conflict between the rights of women as a sex class and the rights of trans people as a newcomer (gate-crasher?) to this sex class. There are going to be some people who lose out, as some inevitably do in any clash of rights. At the moment, for example, female athletes are losing (quite literally) to an ideology that allows male-bodied individuals to compete in women’s sports.
There are some transwomen I know who just want to live their lives, to be able to be treated as women by society. They are not a danger to anyone. Their trans status is something they would, ideally, like to be entirely invisible. They are human beings, too. And there’s a big part of me wishes they could live their lives, including being able to use the ladies loos, without any trouble. I honestly don’t know how to solve these conflicts in a way that maintains the dignity, and respects the wishes, of everyone.
But these “old-fashioned” trans, they’re not the problem. The lunatic fringe of the LGBWTF lobby has ruined it for everyone. They’ve created a situation in which people are drawing fixed lines in the sand and being much more aggressive in defending those lines as a result.
As always, it’s the non-extreme people caught in the middle and who will suffer the most.
It’s like the twat at school who, by being a twat, ruins it for everyone. All it takes is for one asshole at school to be too much of an asshole, and so the teachers feel they have little choice but to bring in rules, or make decisions, that negatively impact everyone.
Governments are a bit like this too. One idiot drinks bleach, so the government bans bleach - that sort of thing.
Whatever one’s take on ‘trans’ ideology, and I think it’s a rancid stream of unicorn piss, we cannot cede ground on our ability and right, to be able to discuss everything - even if that discussion gets heated and strays into offence.
Of all the things worth fighting for, our ability to speak our minds, to be able to hear the ideas of others, to be offended and to give offence, is paramount.
We can’t let the fools take this from us - even on April Fool’s Day.
Rob Schneider has an interesting take on special days of commemoration
Similar to gender-fluid, only worse
I have a good friend who is a female-to-male transgender individual. If I didn’t tell you he was trans, you’d never know. He appears, behaves, and sounds exactly like all my biologically male friends. Other than he initially telling me about his life, over 25-years ago, he never discusses it, champions it or makes it any part of his life. In fact, he abhors the current trans nonsense as freakish, perverted and insane. No one in my close family or friends knows that he is trans. And that is what he wants. To just live his life as a normal, hard-working, Conservative man. And I am absolutely fine with that.
The whole sex&gender-stuff can be solved:
Instead of man/woman and the n+1 other sexes/genders, let's use 'Bruce' and 'Sheila' henceforth.
Alternatively, we can drop sex/gender from language completely and therefore also drop them as concepts, by uniformly adopting "comrade+title" as the only form of address.
Like this:
"Comrade Professor, when Leibnitz asserted that [...], doesn't that mean that mass and energy are interchangeable?"
"Comrade Student, please recall our lecture on [...], which is why though technically interchangeable, to actually affect said change from one state to another, [...] is required."
Sadly, I don't think Comrade Trans would be happy with that - since by using the completely neutral "Comrade", it's no longer about them.
