Today I want to talk about red flags. No, not the communist ones - but those things that ought to have been warning us all along.
The first red flag, for me, came back in April/May 2020. I wasn’t comfortable with the idea of a lockdown anyway, but I didn’t really know much back then. So I took the UK mortality data and did a rough estimate of the 2nd derivative. If you’ve forgotten your high school math - that’s the one that is the “acceleration”. It’s basically telling us something about whether the brakes are on, or not.
What I found was that in the UK this 2nd derivative, the “acceleration” went negative just before the end of March. In other words, the brakes were on - the dynamics of the curve were fundamentally shifting. Given that the median time between infection and death was estimated at around 3 weeks this meant that the lockdown could not have been responsible for this fundamental shift in the dynamics.
This was only confirmed when, upon realizing there were other countries in the world, I chanced upon Sweden. Same dynamics, same curve - no lockdown. I hate to use technical jargon, but Sweden (and lots of subsequent data worldwide since then) just underlines that virus gonna virus - pretty much independent of government tomfoolery.
Then came the masks. Oh my. The seasonality of the virus meant that there was hardly any impact during the Summer months, but this is when we, in the UK, imposed indoor masks in public. It did nothing to halt the virus (which was on its Summer siesta anyway) but it did serve to remind everyone what a (supposedly) deadly situation we were in. This was a huge red flag for me that something was very seriously awry.
Just as with lockdowns, the previous scientific advice and understanding (masks were essentially useless at stopping the spread of respiratory viruses) was overturned almost overnight - and, all of a sudden, masks became critically important talismans of papery goodness that would keep us all safe.
Because enough people weren’t dying over Summer the focus shifted to cases. A “case” here became someone who simply tested positive. Before covid, a case usually meant someone who was clinically presenting with symptoms and any diagnosis might then be subsequently confirmed with a test. We were told, again contrary to all our previous understanding of respiratory viruses, that “asymptomatic” spread was a significant thing.
The red flags just kept on piling up and up.
We decided that people dying, for any reason, within 28 days of a positive test had actually died of covid. Yes, you read that right. We redefined cause of death to fit the approved narrative.
Overnight, every surface, every object, became lethal. Deliveries had to be doused in disinfectant otherwise we would all die - horribly. It was a miserable time for me. Sanitizer makes one of the worst pizza toppings I have ever tasted.
The whole country was drowning in chemicals designed to eliminate covid from every nook, cranny and orifice.
We were told who we could have in our houses, whether we could have sex with them or not, and if we were lucky enough, even how best to have sex with them in order to be “safe”. I was going to add in a bit here about being told not to hug Granny - but that might be misconstrued in the light of the preceding sentence.
We were even advised not to play Scrabble - although I’m glad that this hidden deadly menace has finally been brought to light. For years we have been blithely playing this terrifying board game, and others, blissfully unaware of the severe dangers we faced.
By now I couldn’t even see the mountain in the distance for all the red flags.
And the red flags kept piling up.
The staggering level of censorship and pressure applied to anything that opposed the approved narrative - applied to people and views - and in some cases even completely factually correct data was suppressed. Just recently we’ve seen that the FDA in the US want 55 years to release the full data on the vaccine trials. Yes - again you read that right. 55 years. Not days, not weeks, but YEARS. If this isn’t enough of a red flag for you then I think nothing ever will be.
And right there, staring us in the face, standing proud like something from a John Holmes movie, is the appalling level of vaccine damage.
I don’t apologize for the swearing here - it’s necessary. Seriously, folks, just how big does something have to be before people even begin to have just a smidgeon of doubt? And this appalling safety profile in comparison to ALL vaccines combined is just wholly and cavalierly dismissed.
And yes, again you read that right. Take ALL other (non-covid) vaccines in use - lump them together as being just one vaccine - and we’re still seeing the covid vaccines coming out at being at least 100 times more deadly than this combined vaccine, according to the reporting systems (and these kind of ratios are seen in all the major reporting systems).
But no, the vaccines are “safe”, properly tested, potions of almost divine provenance and beauty.
Does the red flag have to smother you and prevent you from breathing before you’ll even acknowledge its existence?
And the red flags keep coming - almost daily it seems
It’s clear from this all-cause mortality chart that in the 10 - 59 year age group you’re about 2 to 3 times as likely to die if you’ve been vaccinated. It’s there in the official data - go check it yourself (see *edit below)
There are so many more red flags. For example, the mass testing of asymptomatic people is a level of stupidity I can’t even grasp - it’s statistically and mathematically illiterate. The insane reliance on high threshold PCR testing - the list goes on, and on, and on.
Every measure seems best designed to promote the pandemic, not combat it. Let me know what your favourite red flags are.
*Edit : I realize I jumped the gun a bit and ran straight into a speeding Simpson with the last chart. Sure it’s technically true that in the 10 - 59 age range the vaccinated death rate is higher, but it doesn’t say quite what we think it might - and what I very erroneously implied. The problem is that the vaxxed cohort is heavily skewed towards older people (higher death rates) whereas the unvaxxed cohort is skewed towards younger people (lower death rates) - and this is probably enough to explain most of the difference.
It’s an example of something known as “Simpson’s Paradox”. It’s certainly an elementary mistake I shouldn’t have made. But in my (weak) defence I had been looking at the excess death data which seems to show a worrying upward trend after vaccination, and so when I saw the chart above I was already primed to jump on it, without much thought, as it confirmed my suspicions.
There are good reasons to think that all isn’t rosy with the vaccines - but this particular chart isn’t it, at the moment. It needs a much finer granularity by age. Data which the ONS have, but curiously don’t provide.
I agree on all the red flags. At the start in all my innocence, I was really expecting the government to open up at the end of 3 weeks, and when they didn't then I thought surely they would as spring progressed into summer. And then I started following up odd links on the internet to interviews with the likes of Mike Yeadon and became a full blown sceptic. My most hated red flag was the one on mask, which from the start I refused to adhere to -it was difficult at the start not wear a mask, but it gradually became easier and now boldly walk round at work as the only person without one (I notice an email got circulated reminding staff about wearing masks last time I was in the building!). I hate masks so much that I cannot watch videos of things like choral evensong from Salsibury Cathedral as it angers me so much - just have to listen, as I enjoy the music and singing. Haven't been to church such it started whilst the CoE continues to worship wfalse gods.
Thanks for this which had me laughing in places, albeit on a serious topic.
My favorite red flag was the scientific research paper that used fraudulent (made-up, non-existent!) data to show that hydroxychloroquinine (HCQ) was not effective, that it was actually killing patients. This paper caused HCQ to be banned and legitimate research to be stopped. The paper was retracted within 2 weeks, but the bans were not lifted and much of the research not restarted. A classic effective propaganda event; the data in the study came from somewhere, whoever created it knew it was bogus. Who created this fraud? Someone who benefited by not finding low-cost effective treatments for COVID.
