Personally I don't see any difference in those who cut the heads of westerners and then put them up on some sort of video platform and morons who think that the ayotollahgjhon is funny. Same sort of fuckwits in my eyes.
There's no moral distinction at all between those who would chop someone's head off and post the video and those who indulge in a little dark humour. They're entirely morally equivalent.
Dark humour? Id suggest that it’s gallows humour at best. Or a little frission (masquerading as so called humour) at the genocide of another middle east country following Gaza.
Hence no difference. Of course you won’t be able to see this.
I put Einstein on a pedestal because he *deserves* to be on that pedestal. I've worked through many of Einstein's papers line by line and calculation by calculation. They are masterpieces. There's no one quite like him in the history of physics - he is, as the great Russian physicist Lev Landau once said, in a league of his own.
But if you can find where he went wrong, or where his mistakes were I'd be happy to discuss further.
Did he cause 'damage' to our understanding? Yes - he did. He took an understanding that was wrong, and *provably* wrong (predictions did NOT match experiments), and replaced that with a better way of looking at things that was more correct (predictions matched experiments). We don't know if his ideas will stand the test of time, but we are not going back to the old understanding whatever.
I laughed several times hard enough to choke on my own spit, and that is a good thing these days. Also, thank you from the bottom of my heart for the Terry Pratchett reference! 😂
But what you are not considering, something Einstein could have told from working at a patent office, is this:
"Who's first", is more important than "Does it actually work". Edison too knew this very well.
And so online we go. One thing Substack has contributed to, with its long-form content, is creating opinionators (a better class of pundit) that dare take a day or three before commenting or picking their entrenching tool of choice.
When it comes to Iran, Israel and so on - how far back do you want to go? Why stop at October 7th the other year - why not go back to the 1920s? Or the 920s or simply the 20s?
In other words, any starting point chosen will be an arbitrary one picked as much from inherent bias and preference as from relevance and historical facts-as-known.
This holds true even if we try to be obective, impartial and factual (and obviously not just for this case).
Right, enough truisms.
Consider how an average person like me views physics. I empathetically do not need to understand quantum geegaws or why particles sometimes behave like waves and vice versa or whatever. I really don't need to know it. Thus my interest and knowledge follows a trajectory set by that starting condition. But that's not stopping me from having opinons (or even Opinions!) on it.
It's just that they are not very informed ones.
Problem with politics is, you can sound very knowledgeable, and be very ignorant. And that - being a wordsmith, or at least employing one - can easily make you believe you do know stuff. Kind of like a student might think they "get" what a Black Hole is from letting an AI summarise prof Hawking's writings on the subject.
I forgot where this was going.
Speaking of monster - what matters is if it's /your/ monster or not. Only losers ever committed war crimes - winners took regretably necessary actions to ensure victory despite this incurring collateral damages.
You Sir , are in the words of Mr J Clarkson, a genius , I can relate to the suttle digs and and your sense of humour but on point is spot on , keep up the good work old boy 💪
Arsepipes. Top English vernacular. I've always said arsewipes myself. Probably a dialect thing. Where did you grow up?! Edge of Manchester for me.
Probably another edge of Manchester. I class myself as a Manc 😂
Our German equivalent is "Arschgeigen" (literally, arse violins). What's that about? Can we form a rectal orchestra by browsing the world's languages?
Y’all reminder - we are just passing through. I am now going make a cup of Italian coffee and smell it. 😉
Rigger is illogically blaming the Jews for the Iranians desire to wipe Israel off the map. His anti-semitism is putrid.
😅
What the everlovin’ fuck was Terrence reading? Surely not the same thing as I read.
I took it as sarcasm
I hope you’re correct. Otherwise, Terrence needs stronger meds.
Did you read the same article that I did ? I missed any anti Semitic anything .
I think Terence was being sarcastic here. In that light it's funny. If he was being serious I'm as baffled as you 😅
Personally I don't see any difference in those who cut the heads of westerners and then put them up on some sort of video platform and morons who think that the ayotollahgjhon is funny. Same sort of fuckwits in my eyes.
You're absolutely right.
There's no moral distinction at all between those who would chop someone's head off and post the video and those who indulge in a little dark humour. They're entirely morally equivalent.
How could I not see this before?

Genocide?
🤣🤣🤣
Didn't happen in Gaza. Not happening in Iran.

oh, just fuck off Dick, you really are one!
You should get a like from Rudolph soon for that one. He likes humour like that.
There's no humour. None whatsoever.
I was comparing your bloodthirstiness to the Islamic fuckwits who do the same. Because it is the same.
Of course it is, of course it is 🤣
It is. You're just as much of a blood thirsty cunt as they are.
Like Darwin, Einstein was a fraud and a Deep State psyop.
Don't put him on a pedestal. He's done untold damage to the way we understand how the world works.

The diagrams at the top of the text...very inspired...very inspiring...
About 65 years ago, we Brits had "The Tin Triangle"...a bomber used in anger on the eve of its obsolescence...
"Trump, it seems, is one of those rare re-incarnations of Hitler that actually really, really, loves Jews." LOL

Might creates right.
