Back in the early days of 2020, epidemiology was a word I could barely spell correctly, let alone pronounce. And as for asymptomatic transmission, I thought it was a complaint of the nether regions, being the result of some unwise, and unprotected, coupling.
We all learned pretty damn quick.
What was interesting was that a (supposed) rag-tag bag of conspiracy nuts, anti-science freaks, internet-addled peddlers of outrageous misinformation, and those crazy, crazy anti-vaxxers learned quicker, and better, than the ‘experts’. This glorious group of (alleged) fringe misfits got things right on covid massively more than the cretinous coterie of ‘experts’ did.
They trotted out various massive intellects like Prof Ferguson who now heads the MSU1 Department at Imperial College. Neil, the spicy little rogue, treated the lockdowns as the signal to indulge in his own lockdown-busting private bonkathon whilst, during the day, producing only slightly less appealing ‘scientific’ splatterings for the world to enjoy.
Everyone with a reputation (and bank balance) to enhance got in on the act. Important and serious pointy head after pointy head appeared on our screens and told us of the dire nature of the CoronaDoom. Politicians pontificated, the media meddled, and fuck knows what the scientists were doing2; busy writing up papers on the best way to mask your hamster, no doubt.
The lies, and the consequence of those lies, were deep and damaging.
Flatten the curve, just 3 weeks, masks are effective, vaccines are the only way out of this, this unprecedented and deadly pandemic, asymptomatic transmission, safe and effective. In the UK we were initially told the ‘vaccine’ was only going to be for the elderly and vulnerable which warped (at the speed of science?) into let’s stick this shit into children too.
It was a charade, a pantomime, and now, in 2023, I still struggle to come to terms with just how far and how deep the crazy went.
This picture I took of the “please face this way” stickers in each corner of an elevator in Norwich, UK, is just one of the depressing, and seemingly infinite in number, examples of mind-bending absurdity.
In my last two pieces I took a simple look at the UK stats - the statistical equivalent of a back of the envelope calculation - in order to confirm for myself there really was a serious problem with excess death not attributable to covid. Nothing fancy, nothing new, but a very straightforward analysis devoid of any statistical bells and whistles.
My thought after generating the charts : what the hell have we done?
The charts are not proof that the ‘vaccines’ have caused the problem, but they must, at the very least, rank as a prime suspect. On the other hand, it could be any one of a number of other things ranging from climate change, to flesh-eating space aliens, to trans genocide, or even white supremacy (which, as we know, is responsible for everything else that’s bad in the world).
It could also be due to misinformation.
According to Dr. Robert Califf3, the FDA Commissioner, reduced life expectancy in the US is caused by misinformation. It is, apparently, particularly a problem in rural areas because they, erm, “are exposed to different information sources”.
Them thar cuntreee folk with their cerise necks - godammit.
One might alternatively speculate that with an estimated obesity rate of 40% in the US this lower life expectancy might be more wobble-induced than anything else. Although the 40% statistic comes from the CDC (the Centre for Data Concoction) so we should take it with a large pinch of salt (on our super-sized portion of fries).
Looming over all of the crazy are the ‘vaccines’
This artwork from Bob, for me, is the most iconic and powerful image produced by Team Reality (otherwise known as Team Just Plain Old Fucking Common Sense) throughout the whole pandemic.
It’s a powerful reminder of what this has all been about. Getting the Juice of Joy into as many arms as possible in some orgiastic slavering of zeal as we indulged in the One Jabbathon to Rule Them All. The rapacious lust for getting everyone juiced up that was on stark display from our leaders and the ‘elite’ was as disgusting as it was demented, as demonic as it was demeaning.
You could almost see the dollar signs in their eyes as they sanctimoniously exhorted us all to “do our duty”. You, you plebs, you useless eaters, just do what you’re told. We know what’s best for you (and for our bank balance).
The problem is, they didn’t know what’s “best” for us - and they never have. It’s not even something they really care about. It’s just a façade of ‘care’ that serves to get them where they really want to be; elected and in power.
But remember this
None of this would have been possible if they hadn’t lied to us
The whole of OperationCovid™ was based on lies. Can you name one thing, one thing, that our governments actually got right? One or two cock-ups? Great, we all make them. I can understand that. It happens. But with covid it was one after another; an endless stream of Ferguson-like jizz, a bukkake of bamboozlement, designed to lead inexorably towards the Goo.
I simply refuse to believe, despite most of our politicians being as thick as two fridge doors, that they got this number of things this wrong by mere idiocy or panic.
Remember all the Build Back Better crap?
For a while, it was one of those mealy phrases that regularly ejaculated from the mealiest of mealy mouths on our planet. With supreme confidence, and foresight bordering on psychic, our leaders knew, they knew, that this ‘pandemic’, this global ‘catastrophe’, required the establishment of a new way of doing things.
I can’t square this kind of serendipitous foreknowledge with the hypothesis that there was no real ‘conspiracy’, that our leaders, god luv ‘em, were just hapless, bumbling fools as scared as the rest of us and just doing their best.
They toned down the BBB stuff when too many people cottoned on. But the agenda is still there4.
They lied to us, they deliberately made us vastly more fearful than we needed to be.
These are not the actions of innocent, but incompetent, people.
Follow the money, the power, and the privilege5
Making Shit Up
Well, we knew what Neil was doing. He was doing his mistress. We can only hope he masked the little fella up - the thought of a whole tribe of mini-Fergusons is too terrifying to contemplate.
Trust me, I’m a doctor
WHO is going to mention forthcoming global pandemic treaties?
True privilege - not the woke mumbo-jumbo version

Here’s what I find interesting.
The narrative over here is that dumb, credulous, easily manipulated people are all the pro-Trump “MAGA Republicans.” They worship their leader apparently and are victims of misinformation campaigns.
Yet— Trump is proud of the vaccines! He advises his followers to get them. They have actually booed him when he says good things about them. Have you ever heard a group of Democrats booing Biden for saying little boys should be medically supported so that they can grow up and become women?
I wish Trump’s ego would allow him to denounce the vaccine, but at the same time I like a politician who doesn’t rely on polls to determine what they say. Likewise I believe citizens— including journalists, scientists, and doctors— shouldn’t just consider themselves loyal subjects to their political party or those who have been anointed by their party.
“Bukkake of bamboozlement” 😂
