The (insert existential terror) MindFuck

The Collins Dictionary defines mindfuck as

the deliberate infliction of psychological damage

It can be a noun or a verb, and one can be a mindfucker or a mindfuckee.

Although it’s a slang term I think it’s a pretty accurate description of what our governments, the media, and large corporations have been doing to us over the last few years.

We have :

• The CLIMF (the climate mindfuck)

• The CAFOOMF (the carbon footprint mindfuck - a subset of CLIMF)

• The RAMF (the racism mindfuck)

• The SYSRAMF (the systemic racism mindfuck - a subset of RAMF)

• The WHISUMF (the white supremacy mindfuck)

• The DIMF, IMF and EMF (the diversity, inclusion and equity mindfucks)

• The GIMF (the gender ideology mindfuck)

• The TRAMF (the trans mindfuck - a subset of GIMF)

• The PROMF (the pronoun mindfuck - also a subset of GIMF)

• The DECOMF (the decolonization mindfuck)

• The VAMF (the vaccine mindfuck)

• The MAMF (the mask mindfuck)

• The MIMF and DIMF (the mis- and dis- information mindfucks)

• The STEMF (the stochastic terrorism mindfuck)

• The ESAMF (the emotional safety mindfuck, part of the larger SAfety MindFuck, or SAMF)

• The BEKIMF mindfuck (the be kind mindfuck)

• The HAMF (the hate speech mindfuck)

• The ASCIMF (the anti-science mindfuck)

• And, of course, the COMF (the covid mindfuck)

All of these (and there are more), to greater or lesser extents, exist to promote a kind of fear in us. Don’t mis-gender someone, don’t kill granny, get your Gooification¹ or you’ll be out of a job, and so on.

We’re being trained to behave, to be compliant, and not to rock the boat with our lack of compassion, our conspiracy theories, or our wanton disregard for others when we don’t wear a mask. And just stop saying or writing hurty words will you? You might cause trauma to someone’s feelings!

At this point I’d rather be wearing the Condom of Conspiracy than the Mask of Meaninglessness - but yesterday’s Mirror (admittedly, it’s always been a bit of a crappy excuse for ‘journalism’ in the UK) had this to say

OOOOH NOOOOOO, not 40,000 active infections². However will they cope with about 0.003% of their population infected?

Quick, call Bill and Albert and get some Goo, any old shit will do as long as we can call it a ‘vaccine’, into their arms. Meanwhile let’s mask everyone up.

Have we got 1.4 billion masks? And that’s just for day one.

I’ve long reached the stage where, even if there really was a climate “crisis” or some deadly new CoronaMutantDoom, I simply don’t give a shit.
