Well, my X feed is art, antiques, cute dogs and cats, birds and some pretty raunchy right wing shitpoasting because, what a relief to be able to tell the truth and notice things!!! I think X will settle down in time, folks will stop being so downright giddy and stop with some of the more extreme stuff.

I'm very much inclined to agree with you. I think a lot of people are just having fun after having to bottle stuff up for so long.

The pendulum has a long way to go before we’re too far to the right. I say keep swinging.

I've no idea where the 'stop' point ought to be, but so far I'm very much liking the 'culture' changes Trump & Co are bringing. I do kind of hope it doesn't get too nasty - but humans being humans, it probably will

There is no "too far" the other way, since it's not a scale in that way.

Censorship is censorship, and it matters not who does it.

From that, all else follows.

Yup - I hope we see a shift back towards free speech being considered to be a foundational value. Unlike in Europe, where Ursula and her coven seem to think free speech is dangerous.

A philosopher I consider one of the top three most important ones for development of human thought, had this to say which tangents to freedom to speak (the Swedish for "freedom of speech" translates better as "freedom to speak"):

"“A philosopher named Aristippus, who had quite willingly sucked up to Dionysus and won himself a spot at his court, saw Diogenes cooking lentils for a meal. "If you would only learn to compliment Dionysus, you wouldn't have to live on lentils."

Diogenes replied, "But if you would only learn to live on lentils, you wouldn't have to flatter Dionysus.”

― Diogenes of Sinope

Food for thought, no? Ole' wine barrel cynic leaves the choice free, but allows no illusion of rationalisation either. Another good'un from the same man, allegedly said to Alexander the Great himself:

“I have nothing to ask but that you would remove to the other side, that you may not, by intercepting the sunshine, take from me what you cannot give.”

It is with free thought and free speech as it is with sunshine. No-one can grant it to me, and no-one can really take it from me either.

And that is what the sphincter-mouthed harridans, termagants, and other critters of the same ilk fears: that we don't fear them, that we don't allow them to shame us, and that we don't let them have their way on their say-so.

The pendulum swings.

From right to left.

From left to right.

Far left swings so far to the left, that it becomes far right.

And vice versa.

I suggest to stay directly center.

A little wiggle to left to right,

nothing extreme.

I think things would work out just fine.

That is how I run my own personal life.

Works remarkably well.

All things considered.

IMHO. :)

How come so many European people (who blog etc.) think Rump is a viable entity, here for good, or even neutral, works? He is beholden to the Rothschild's for previous bailouts during his 'lean' years, he was installed to further the mRNA agenda and profits and his well professed love for Net-the-yahoo is a matter of great record. I really do wish you would look a bit closer; he is but another harbinger of greed and death and culling by elites.

You might well be right Jacquelyn, although I sincerely hope not. I guess we'll just have to wait and see whether the welcome salvos against the woke madness are just a smokescreen for something more sinister.

Excellent observations, as always! 😆 My ten year old niece died a bit of her hair green a few years ago and I asked why? Neither her or her parents could answer... I'm sure it had to do with some "hip/woke" teacher's influence.
