If you’ve read a few of my pieces - and for that I am truly grateful, for your time and consideration - you may have noticed I continually emphasize the whole context of covid - the big picture.
It’s all too easy to get focused on the latest horror in the covid freakshow that’s going on, but we also have to step back and remember what it’s all about. It is my view that this perspective is absolutely critical - and needs continually emphasizing.
All this witless buffoonery, the excess of totalitarian zeal, and the wanton destruction of the threads of humanity which connect us, has come about because of a not all that deadly virus. In the history of pandemics, covid is wholly unremarkable.
And yet we’ve done, and are doing, all this? For that?
In England & Wales out of about 30 million people under the age of 40 a whole 4 people out of 100,000 have (allegedly) died of covid19.
Oh my God - boost the fuck out of me - jab my eyeballs, jab my balls - just don't let me get this horror of a disease.
Of course, I’m not trying to suggest that covid doesn’t exist - or that, if you’re unlucky, it can’t be horrible, even fatal. I’m sorry for those who have suffered a loss. Truly sorry. I don’t want to downplay the seriousness of it, for some.
Car accidents can be horrible, and often avoidable, tragedies - but I don’t want to ban cars - or restrict them to 20mph. If it was just about keeping everyone safe, it’s worth it if it saves one life, then we’d be doing much more to restrict the ability of cars to kill.
But we don’t. Why not? It’s because we’ve come to a sensible and rational adult decision about the risks and rewards.
This ability to weigh up risks and benefits in an appropriate and rational manner has been thrown out of the window we left open to ventilate the house because covid.
We’ve also lost this balance when it comes to the vaccines too. This is the latest VAERS data showing reported vaccine deaths in the US.
Just the other day on Twitter (it might have been Shott Adams who seems to have taken a sharp turn down Pfizer-Fantasy Avenue) someone was arguing that all the vaccine deaths are anecdotal and nothing more than coincidental.
That’s a mighty big tumescence of coincidence you have there, big fella.
No - I’m not pleased to see you - I just have a syringe in my pocket.
It is, perhaps, the John Holmes of all coincidences
Something isn’t right here. It’s obvious to anyone whose brain hasn’t been Pfizered beyond all recognition. There is clearly a risk in taking these vaccines. One should really be asking the question - why haven’t we seen these “coincidences” for all the other vaccines we’ve administered?
And here’s another question for the day. Why don’t we see discussions of NNTV (the number needed to vaccinate to save one life) on mainstream outlets? It’s not an obscure quantity invented by rabid anti-vaxxers to discredit the Glorious Goo. It’s a necessary and conventional quantity to properly understand the risk/reward picture for vaccines.
The reason why is because it doesn’t sound anything like as media-erotic as figures like “95% efficacy”. The NNTV is calculated from the ARR (the Absolute Risk Reduction) - and this figure is small. For kids you need to vaccinate something like 600,000 of them in order to save just one from a covid death.
OK - so there are serious questions about the risk of these covid vaccines, despite those Pfizer-tinted glasses many folk are wearing right now. But what about the flip-side of this? What about the rewards?
I’m not talking about the “rewards” our bountiful and beneficent governments dish out for being a good citizen and doing what you’re told by being vaccinated. I’m talking about actual health rewards.
There are some studies coming out now that are devastating for the official narrative. A particularly good example of this can be found here. The authors of this excellent piece of research emphasize all-cause mortality. Why? Well, it’s obvious that we can’t trust any official figures of covid death. Deaths, for any reason, within 28 days of a positive test were listed as a “covid” death in the UK - with similar statistical stupidity being practiced elsewhere too.
We can trust all-cause mortality data - or at least we can have a much, much greater trust in that data. Hard to pass off death as anything else other than, erm, death. When you have shuffled off this mortal coil, you won’t be vooming even if someone puts 4,000 volts through you.
So what has been uncovered by a proper analysis of the data? (The data is a bit patchy - for some reason the officially-released data considers some rather strange age groupings - the 10 to 59 year olds are all lumped in as one group).
Here is one particularly revealing set of charts from the paper. I’ve added the lines to the peaks and the question.
The authors take considerable pains to be objective and consider several options - but realistically it’s obvious this is an effect related to the vaccination programme.
But how could people who haven’t been vaccinated be suffering from some vaccine-induced effect?
The answer here is that you’re not considered “vaccinated” until some time has elapsed after your jab. Before then you are lumped in with the filthy, the unvaccinated. So what we’re seeing here is an effect of mis-categorization (the authors do go on to show this quite nicely). If you account for this time-lapse - and do a proper labelling - everything goes back to normal, or something that looks more like a natural expectation.
And if you do that - there’s very little evidence of a beneficial effect from the vaccines on all-cause mortality.
That’s right - it’s possible the vaccines have some beneficial effect against covid (although I am beginning to doubt this more and more) - but in terms of overall mortality they appear to have little to no effect at all.
Big picture, big picture, big picture. Focusing exclusively on covid really fucks with with your perception of reality. Time to get real again.
Two things. First, love your style and you content! I will not assume that you have been reading my mind, because frankly, it feels so good. Second, without going into my whole explanation, I understand how otherwise intelligent-seeming people can succumb to Pfizercosis. The answer rests in the same process that undergirds the success of another phenomenon: Late. Night. Infomercials.
Scott Adams has gone off the damn rails
