Another good head of steam released to the atmosphere...

Rudolph Rigger's avatar

I'm not sure all of my releases of steam to the atmosphere are all that pleasant or wholesome 🤔

👍 Reminds me of the tailend of the first Alien movie -- of maybe particular relevance to Rudolph's screed ... -- where the nuclear reactor has gone critical and is venting steam: "you have one hour to clear the zone [before detonation]" ... 😉🙂

But while it is nice that he has acknowledged that, in particular, both Christianity and Islam had & have their "not-nice" features, and that Islam is still stuck in the barbarisms of the 7th century, he still seems to stop short of accepting that, as the late UK philosopher Anthony Flew once put it, Islam is "flatly incompatible with the principles and values of secular societies", and that we should, at least, close the borders to Muslims -- as I think President Trump has done recently -- if not deport the effen lot:

I stop short of 'accepting' that because I don't think it's true. There are definitely interpretations and 'versions' of Islam for which that is true - no question about that - and those interpretations are shared by probably a majority (I would class, for example, making homosexuality a punishable crime, or apostacy a punishable crime, as being incompatible) - but there is no one unique thing that is "Islam" with a universally agreed upon set of values and behaviours and attitudes.

Are the Taliban practicing Islam? They would say they are - but many other Muslims would say not.

Something of a famous saying, "Kill them all, let their gods sort them out".

Google's AI, Gemini, informs me that that QUOTE "... is a variation of a historical quote often attributed to the 13th-century Abbot Arnaud Amalric during the Massacre at Béziers in 1209, commonly rendered as "Kill them all, God will know his own" (Latin: Caedite eos. Novit enim Dominus qui sunt eius).

The phrase signifies a total, indiscriminate destruction where the perpetrator makes no attempt to distinguish between innocent and guilty, friend or foe, leaving the moral judgment to a higher power. UNQUOTE

The Blaze: Counter-Jihad Senior Contributor Shireen Qudosi joins Tomi to bravely speak out on Islam’s needed reformation. Shireen explains that Islam is having it's own issues with the clashing of civilizations within Islam. She details how it's between the radical, the medieval and what Islam can be in the future. She feels that either Islam needs to evolve or it needs to die.

Christianity had its Reformation; seems that Islam is incapable of it. The West should plan accordingly.

"Stick a mosque on top of Scafell" - well they are building one in the Lake District aren't they? Obviously because there is SUCH a demand in the racist white countryside.

Two tier planning laws also! Never mind the usual rules about 'being in keeping with nearby buildings', respecting the vernacular architecture', 'local building materials' - free to recreate Mecca in Cumbria: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cumbria-63980492

I am OK with mosques being built - one of my favourite buildings in the world is the grand mosque in Abu Dhabi. When I visited there it was a real highlight. I spent hours just walking around this stunning building. If we could build something like that here in the UK I'd be all up for it.

But what I'm not OK with is, as you point out, this whole two-tier approach we have. That is utterly wrong. There should be one law in the UK that is consistently and fairly applied without fear or favour - but we seem to be quite a ways from that ideal at the moment.

It is quite beautiful, I agree, I have been and was dressed so appropriately that I didn’t need to borrow an abaya, like most western women. It’s where it should be. In a Muslim country, welcoming visitors, who then go home.

Bettina's avatar

Ahh, there we differ. I think Islam is an evil ideology, so I have the same shudder of revulsion walking past a mosque as walking past a masonic temple or a butcher's shop (being vegetarian!). I was once (inadvertently) in Istanbul for a few days and went to the Hagia Sophia, which had been a church and is now a mosque. I am a bit woo-woo, admittedly, but the feeling of what I can only describe as 'evil' was so overpowering there, I couldn't stay very long. Mind you, St Peter's in the Vatican gives me a similar feeling! Something very 'off' there.

I have developed a great way of combatting it all. Buy lots of land in BFE. Fence it off. Become self-sufficient. Turn off the TV. Get animals. And live a life of peace and quiet away from the bullshit. I simply refuse to participate. Just LMTFA.

Rudolph Rigger's avatar

That's a great solution - certainly for one's own wellbeing.

I'm not sure how that would pan out for those who can't afford to escape the hell holes they find themselves in, though.

Thankfully, here in America rural land in many places is still very affordable. This is the most land I’ve ever owned and was the least expensive property I’ve ever purchased. Yes, we’re 30 miles from a grocery store or doctor. Most ranches are off-grid. Cellphone service can be sketchy. And there’s no cable TV, mail delivery or trash pickup. But the beauty, quiet and perfectly clear, dark skies at night are so worth it. I’m guessing in the UK this would be nearly impossible to find.

Rudolph Rigger's avatar

Small place. Full of people. More coming in daily by the boatload 🤣

I'm jealous. Wish I could escape a bit - although I think I'd make a complete mess of things practically.

CindyArizona's avatar

An interesting tidbit about America. We are 75,000,000 square acres of land with about 340,000,000 people. And only 6% of our land is developed!! The wide-open spaces are amazing. And gorgeous.

CindyArizona's avatar

Well, if you ever get to the USA you can hide out here for a while. Or as long as you can stand the quiet. LOL

I thought that you left EU; remember Brexit? Seems like you are trying to outdo EU. At least President Trump stopped the bleeding, although the infection is not simple to fight. Take example.

Rudolph Rigger's avatar

😂

We tried to leave (or at least some did) - but it was a farce. What ended up happening was nothing like what the people who voted leave actually wanted to happen.

"...once, for a time..."

About 500 years or so. Very few people can make that claim.

Speaking of horrendous violence et cetera:

Christianity (who inflicted more horror on its own populations than on any heathen ones save the Aztecs*) and islam (see previous parenthesis) >put together< pale in comparison to China and India and their surrounding areas.

China, pre-modern at that, trumps World War Two for no. of casualties from war and its attendant features famine and pestilence.

Not by accident either, but by conscious design and choice.

And now we are to receive infinte chinks and pajeets to EU-rope. Because the Coudenhove-Kalergi idea of "creating peace by destroying all the old taces and creating a new one" that has been in effect for over fifty years by now is the underlying premise of all Western migration policy.

Why should the chinese, the indians, the moslems stop us? Our extinction works to their benefit and saves them the trouble of trying to fight us.

Speaking of mosques: wherever the call to prayer has been called from a minaret, that area forever belongs to islam. Anyone trying to remove islam, moslem or mosques from such an area must be killed by any and all righteous moslems.

There can only ever be war with islam, because of how islam is. Trying to co-exist is like Israel trying to co-exist with SS Totenkopf.

*The Aztecs are proof that some races and cultures are better off not existing. They are also proof of what I point out about Israel/Palestine:

The options in that kind of conflict will always be military occupation and rule, Roman style; or ethnic cleansing one way or the other; or simply not getting into it at all and keeping the culture in question at spear's length.

Rudolph Rigger's avatar

Sobering thoughts there Rikard.

The whole "hate your culture and country" program that seems to have been implemented EU wide for several decades has been very effective.

Rikard's avatar

One thing: I don't write the things I do because I want things to be that way. I write it because they are true, and I don't want them to be.

I doubt you need it pointed out but it is something we all could do with remembering when debating, that the art of being a charitable listener/reader is over and that we live in the era of "if you can misunderstand/misconstrue a statement when it benefits you, then do so".

When I call for ethnic cleansing of Europe, it is not out of hatred of others, but because of the over 50 years of empirical data we have on what happens when certain races are allowed to establish themselves as groups.

I often use the same language about various Europeans going abroad and doing FAFO-stuff, like trying to smuggle drugs out of Thailand only to wind up in what amounts to a kennel for humans for 10+ years, while bitching about it to the embassy and the evening news. It is the right of any nation and people to decide what goes and doesn't for foreigners. Saudi not allowing people to drink and you want to drink? Then don't go to Saudi.

Easy peasy.

Going abroad and inisiting the nation and people you go to change their ways is racist. Insisting they obey and respect your ways when visiting is not.

The good thing is that we have reached Peak Inclusion now.

I am not sure what the future will look like, if it will be better or much worse, but what you describe are clearly the last gasps of the religion of inclusiton.

So much taxpayers money goes into that it will be able to go through the motions for a bit longer, but its time as the reigning ideology has clearly come to an end.

Rudolph Rigger's avatar

I hope you're right - this DEI/Inclusion nonsense needs to be put to death - stake through the heart, body burned, ashes scattered, sprinkled with holy water and garlic - so that it can never come back to life
