Back in March/April 2020, all the major media outlets were posting “sew your own fabric face mask” articles. Frankly, this was like telling people that if you don’t have a condom on hand, you might as well cut up a pair of nylons and use those. And then reuse them. If I’d wanted to figure out how to make people sick, reusing fabric masks seems like a surefire way to do it. And yet there was a victory garden-type, war-effort media coverage of the DIY masks at that time and even I got sucked in back then.

Oh, my. I was an anti-masker and felt the wrath of many covidiots. One of my loving close family members showed up for dinner with a thin veil draped over half her face. (Because the whole blue diaper bothered her). She looked like an exotic belly dancer. This continued until The Powers That Be in her area announced “NOT ALLOWED!”. She promptly purchased a KN95. To this day, many of my liberal covidiot family members still believe in that bad ju-ju.
