The Guardian, a once much-respected media outlet, continues in its quest to become the most ridiculous ‘news’ source on the planet. Like an incontinent rhino it drops its butt nuggets of ‘wisdom’ on an almost daily basis. Some (most) of its reportage on the covid ‘crisis’ was hilariously bad and ill-informed, but at least it was in good company.
I urge you to read Chris Bray’s latest piece. It’s a hilarious take-down of another GBN (Guardian Butt Nugget). I’ll summarize Chris’ piece a bit - but please read his piece first. There’s not much I can add, either in insight or humour.
I’m pretty sure it was the Guardian back in 2014 who ran a piece saying that the orcs in Middle Earth were the oppressed class and discriminated against by the middle-class hobbits who were, erm, ‘oppressing’ them?
They’ve resurrected the same theme in their article, analysed by Chris, about the, erm, ‘injustice’ of a white woman being nominated for an oscar.
That’s stupid enough to make your head hurt as it is - but, as Chris explains, it descends into pure farce.
Of course, the phrase “race storm erupts” is likely journalistic code for a couple of people had a meltdown on Twitter.
The thrust of the Guardian article isn’t just about the awful, heinous, despicable act of nominating a white person (how could they? I mean, just, how could they?), it’s about how even when black actresses do all the ‘right things’ - like attending expensive soirees, being backed by the full might of the entertainment industry and promoted heavily, they were ‘overlooked’ in favour of someone who did not enjoy that support, or do the ‘right things’.
Jeez, this white supremacy stuff is fucking powerful. Even without the full weight of all those resources behind it, it somehow manages to exert its oppressive power. Imagine what it could do if, you know, it was actually a major force to contend with, with actual resources and stuff.
I hope Chris will forgive me for adapting the meme he generated, but it’s kind of like this these days
We all need help in translating from Wokish - and so here’s a few starters for 10
hateful : you disagree with me
bigot : you’re still disagreeing with me
X-phobe : will you just fucking stop disagreeing with me
Nazi : you’ve got a silly moustache AND you disagree with me
Fascist : no idea what one of those is, but if you carry on disagreeing with me I’m going to put an axe in your head
Communism : waffle about the means of production by people who have no idea how to produce anything
Systemic : invisible lines of oppressive force created by the oppression fairy
Gay and Lesbian : probably trans
sexual orientation : training for some of the more difficult positions in the Kama Sutra
Feel free to add in your own translations in the comments.
As Chris laments in his article, this stuff is impossible to understand - unless you’ve had the six inch nail treatment.
One of my favourite comments on Chris’s article is from John Carter who has invented a new word to describe these crazy people - “Marxcissists”. Isn’t that just perfect?
Yikes and yikes. And did I mention, Yikes? This is the Three Mile Island meltdown of the brain and any cultural or mental sense at all. My only hope is that this accelerated insanity burns itself out as a logs of mania collapse inward amid their own fire. The whole Q-Anon and Trump hysteria pales in comparison to Blue Anon and PC hysteria.
The most important clue (and I shared this with conservative friends of mine) is how FEW people actually agree with this insanity or take it up in any way. YES, it is NOT a firestorm, but a few sensitive media/culture/influential self-anointed mostly filthy rich (or at least idly rich) people with nothing to actually produce or do, except to tell other people what to be to make up for their neurotic, hollow selves.
DON'T PROJECT your crap on me rich dysfunction-ites. And yes it is about CLASS, the one thing you are never allowed to talk about in a country whose true God, if the self-appointed "betters" are to be believed, is money, fame, and power. This Guardian article only proves it. What is the deciding factor in who is oppressed? Money. Those who have it are really the oppressed. Those who don't are the oppressor.
Even Marxism itself, if Marx is to be believed, has been weaponized ON BEHALF of the upper economic classes to deem themselves the "intellectual vanguard" that simply know the truth to be imposed on everyone else... And, yet, it is not working on those ungrateful, unintelligent plebes.
People are not buying the bull crap. What to do? Scream louder! Buy off more papers!
Just keep stoking the fires of self-destruction my friend, just keep it up. You have gone way past lamp shade on the head idiocy and arrived at padded cell insanity. Thanks for exposing your desperate need to counter reality with nothing but neurotic vanity. When you are jerked off the stage by the cane around the neck, we will only breathe a sight of relief and freedom.
