The problem I have with the various ‘conspiracy theories’ surrounding covid is that our elected representatives (at least in the UK) tend to be comprised of people who are, in the main, like walking, talking, semi-sentient bags of custard1. These people would find it challenging to run a bath. How are they going to run a conspiracy?
On the other hand, there are a few politicians who give every appearance of being devious, sly and cunning birthingpersonfuckers2.
Still rarer are those who appear to be genuinely decent and able to walk and chew gum at the same time.
But look at what has changed in just 3 years since the advent of the CoronaDoom.
With barely a whimper, our governments confined everyone to their homes (unless you were an ‘essential’ worker who, presumably, could just die of the CoronaDoom whilst carrying our your duties)
Perfectly healthy people (with or without some positive ‘test’ result) were deemed to be a threat to be avoided
Vaccine passports were adopted, mostly through the use of an app on a smartphone3
Unvaccinated people were excluded from society, and sometimes from employment
There is a push to introduce CBDC’s - it was probably no accident that, during the CoronaDoom, paying in cash was deemed to be the moral equivalent of taking an axe to granny’s head4
Opposing views were ruthlessly culled and those who questioned things subjected to outrageous smears5
I don’t think things have really got back to normal. Not by a long shot.
They aren’t Building Back Better so much as Building Back Quieter.
The only way any of this could have worked, and been as widely accepted as it was, was if there was an extraordinary level of fear.
But where did this fear come from? Certainly not the data. The available data, even right at the start, showed this outbreak was NOT some existential and unprecedented threat to humanity. If global pandemics were football teams, then the CoronaDoom would have been on a par with Grimsby Town; able to score a goal or two occasionally, but usually needing their GPS to find the opponent’s net.
The CoronaDoom was not unprecedented; the responses and machinations of various governments were off-the-charts unprecedented.
How, and why, did this happen?
The direction of travel we’re on - more global control, greater surveillance of citizens, more arbitrary powers ceded to governments to remove rights and privileges, greater control of information sources and the ability to remove counter opinion, the power to control every aspect of our ability to spend and save, and more - is certainly consistent with the assumption of some supra-national cabal of Illuminati on steroids.
The threat level posed by the CoronaDoom was deliberately exaggerated. I would say massively exaggerated, but that’s a subjective viewpoint. But I can’t imagine the bags of custard sitting in some shady exclusive club, laughing maniacally, as they rub their hands together with glee. I think they were as taken in by the charade as the rest of their constituents.
The CoronaDoom, then, wasn’t some existential level event, but a science-fiction level event6.
I blame zombie movies.
And you even have the magic mask!
I like this poster because now, in 2023, it’s not clear whether it’s a zombie movie, or a movie about lockdowns.
In more modern zombie flicks (as opposed to earlier zombie movies which were based on more ‘supernatural’ explanations) there is usually some virus that spreads out of control. People lock themselves up for safety and tend to stick an axe in the head of anyone infected7.
I suspect we’ve all been ‘primed’ to think of viruses as having this kind of wildly out of control potential. It makes great Sci-Fi, but leads to really, really crappy government decisions in real life.
We can argue about the actual influence of organizations like WEF, but they have written in rather sickeningly glowing terms about how the CoronaDoom has brought about all sorts of social conformity and behavioural change unthinkable pre-covid. It’s clear they are delighted by this.
Sane people, of course, are horrified by this.
WEF seem to have an appallingly dystopian view of humanity’s future but they, nevertheless, see themselves as the good guys.
Was covid, and the responses to it, just some horrible, and accidental, confluence of events driven by bags of custard who didn’t have a clue what they were doing and were just afraid? Afraid of the virus, afraid of being seen to do the wrong thing and being, eventually, kicked out of office?
It’s clear that many ‘elite’ see some sort of trans-humanist and Pharmaceutical Pfuture for mankind. I don’t think they’re going to achieve the required level of docility for the general population without it8. Was covid just a happy ‘accident’ that allowed them to bring forward their plans?
Perhaps it’s all just a very fortunate set of accidental and coincidental circumstances that has allowed a significant progression towards the level of population control lusted after by organizations like WEF.
Gotta be just an accident hasn’t it?
Science fiction writers have been warning us for ages about these kinds of things - Brave New World, Fahrenheit 451, 1984, and so on9.
Whether it’s all accidental or the strings are being pulled by some Sith Lords in the background, one thing is for certain. We cannot afford to fall prey to their Jedi mind tricks.
Sir Cliff’s original version of his hit song was scotched by his producer when he pointed out that the lyric “got myself a cryin', talkin' sleepin', walkin', livin' semi-sentient bag of custard” didn’t scan.
The new woke term of abuse that must be used (Thought Police Directive 235 (v2) subsection 4)
In the country where I worked I wasn’t even allowed on to campus without displaying the rinky-dinky green tick of joy (based on a testing regimen that varied in frequency). And this was before they mandated the vaccine as a requirement for entry. Thankfully, I left before this mandate came into effect.
If anyone can tell me what the purported benefits to the end user (i.e. us) with CBDC’s are supposed to be, I’d be very grateful. At the moment, I have no idea how the normal, everyday bod is going to benefit from this change.
It wasn’t just people who were slandered in this way. Ivermectin, a very, very safe drug that has had great benefits for humanity, was derided in the media as horse paste. There was simply no way this closing of ranks on things like Ivermectin were the result of independent news organizations just all, miraculously, coming to the same conclusion and using the same terminology. The same could be said for many covid ‘policies’. In a miraculous synchronised convergence of will and understanding, almost the whole world adopted the same batshit bonkers measures. It was like something from Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
We could have the acronyms ELE and SFLE pronounced ‘eely’ and ‘siffly’, respectively.
If zombies paid for things in cash, this would be dangerous too.
I think one would have to be heavily drugged up to be “happy” with their own nothing, eat bugs, shared social housing micro units, 15 minute city insanity.
I tend to view 1984 as a novel that uses science fiction to give a very dark warning of a possible future
Dr Rigger, once again you surmise correctly, palatable only thanks to your trademark wit and style.
lndeed, the bags of tepid crème anglaise couldn’t collectively run a bath in a million years. But I believe that is precisely the point, not just a coincidence. It’s the reason we find actors / clowns just like these placed into every government around the world. And what is it that actors need? Directions. And a script. Usually delivered from behind the curtains.
Of course, anyone who misunderstands the rules of this game and dares infiltrate the club from outside the incestuous 🤡 acting world is instantly framed by the global cuntocracy as an extreme populist authoritarian dictator worse than adolf who must be defeated due to the imminent danger they present to “democracy”.
As a wise man once noted, it’s a big club, and we’re not in it.
It hasn't been much remarked upon, but it struck me that one side effect of the vaccine passports was that we also made it a rule that everyone had to have a smart phone. I'm sorry, when did we vote on that? (As if we really vote on anything anymore.)
