There’s another one of those quaint English idioms I love.
Getting something arse about face
It means to get something back to front, the wrong-way round. Putting your shoes on before your socks would be an example of getting things “arse about face” - although I would sincerely hope no arses are actually involved in that process.
There’s definitely more than a whiff of arse-about-facery going on with all this covid shenanigans.
Isn’t it curious that within mere days of the dread-covid seeping into our psyches we were told, by our leaders, that we would have to get used to a “new normal” and that we would have to “build back better”?
How did they know? How did anyone know? I’d like to say this was before we even knew the seriousness of what we were dealing with, but that would be inaccurate. The data from both Italy and the Diamond Princess was sufficient to tell us we were dealing with something that was probably a bit more dangerous than a flu - but, nowhere, not even close to being, not even in the same galaxy, as dangerous as something like Ebola, or the Spanish flu.
Yet our leaders, apparently, already knew we would have to radically change things because of this “deadly” pandemic. It’s almost as if they had a bunch of things they wanted to do just waiting in the wings and, magically out of nowhere (but definitely, absolutely, certainly, incontrovertibly, oh-no sirree, NOT from a lab somewhere in Wuhan) came this virus. It was the answer to their prayers.
At the right time, again as if by some kind of magic, came the vaccines. Several of them. We’ve been trying for the last 20 years or more to crack this mRNA vaccine nut - everything before ended up killing the animals in trials. But as if the Gods themselves stepped in on our behalf, we pulled off this technological miracle in less than half a year once covid had raised its bobbly spiky head.
Then came the mandates, and the vaxx-pass - so that we can be “free”. I need to check my dictionary again; I don’t think I have the same understanding of this word. And now people like Trudeau, the Prime-Pillock of Canazida, amongst others, have been talking about extending the rona-restrictions to combat climate change.
I smell a rat here.
Covid, whilst serious, is hardly the most dangerous disease we’ve ever faced. It’s been rough, and sometimes fatally so, for the unlucky. Or those, like me, who have managed to overeat themselves into a state of unluck. And this is so very clear from the data. Here’s deaths for 2002 - 2020 broken down into age ranges for Sweden
The red blocks here represent 2020, and it’s very clear that for everyone except the elderly, 2020 was a wholly unremarkable year. In some age groups deaths were even below the five-year average. But, you splutter, there’s been a pandemic! There still is. And Sweden did all the wrong things!
And the bafflingly brain-dead mantra continues and continues. It is an emergency, a crisis, we have to do all these things!
No. No, it has never been an emergency or a crisis, except of our own making and in our own fevered imaginations. It is possible for something to be concerning, and serious, without being an emergency, you know. And we really didn’t have to do all those things. We did, and continue to do, precisely the opposite of what we should be doing.
It was only ever an “emergency” for the over 80’s.
So why all the panic? Why all the restrictions? Why the vaccine mandates and passes? What is the problem they are a solution for?
They’re a great solution for something. No idea what though. Certainly not any kind of health solution - that’s for sure.
We’ve been staring at our arses for the past 20 months, instead of our faces - although they have been masked. It’s time to turn round. It’s time to stop talking all this politically-correct covid bollocks.
Just listened to another interview with Dr David Martin and he made the point that there has been no excess life insurance claims (in the US) since the 'pandemic' started, which essentially means no excess deaths, which means no pandemic. He makes convincing arguments that one aspect of the created crisis is to get populations taking vaccines from cradle to grave. I think big pharma is just one aspect and there is a whole web of interlinked interests that have converged taking advantage of the situation.
