For those who will not comply, this is a superb and rousing statement of principle. Highly recommended.

I don't give a fat rats arse what people want to identify as, as long as they don't expect me to participate in their delusions.

Aye, there's the rub.

This is not about what these narcissistic loonies think they are, it's about them forcing their will on others. Power and control. If nobody recognised their delusions or paid them any attention, where would they be? They'd just be a tiny minority of deranged people gibbering on street corners that everybody ignored. It's the current success of their attempt to impose their foul will on the rest of us normal people, forcing us to pretend to agree with their craziness (at the risk of job loss, debanking etc) that is causing all the problems. So fuck them. I am not subject to coercion. I will not comply. And I can guarantee that this will end in tears. Their tears.

I also concur with your thoughts on people's feelings. Nobody has a right not to be offended. I read recently about a person in the UK being nicked by the plod because they'd posted something on Facebook that had offended somebody. What the Actual Fuck is that about?

And finally, FFS, that bizarre creature in the pic of the "soldiers" brings nothing but shame and disgrace upon its uniform. I used to be an infantryman. It's a hard and dangerous job requiring hard and dangerous men. That obscene blob is a danger to nothing but the availability of grease bombs at the local McDonalds, and should be discharged from the service immediately for the good of the nation.

Dad used to tell every new batch of conscripts this:

"Here, you are not men or women or christians or jews or supporters of this team or that! Here, you are /all/ swedish soldiers!"

Because that's what counts when it's "skarpt läge" (idiom, translates literally to "sharp situation/position" - it means when sh*t's gotten real and it's do or die time).

I used a modified version for my students. From around 2010 or so, junior colleagues called it racist, sexist and insensitive.

Silly me. I thought quotas for things not relevant to the thing in question were racist et c.

I always go back to the words of the esteemed philosopher who said, “Sometimes you feel like a nut. Sometimes you don’t.”

“I feel like a woman” is the order one places at a brothel, not a declaration of selfhood. Both regard women similarly— as objects on which a man can impose his own desires. No wonder “sex work” and the trans ideology seem to be celebrated by the same group of people.

“I suspect the “advancements” are still somewhat aspirational themselves. “

Yes, and they do have a single measurable objective -- one that begins with a dollar sign (or the symbol designating your favorite currency). This is all marketing, an attempt to create a high-dollar customer base who are prepared to spend a fortune of their, or someone else’s, money on expensive surgeries and endless medical and psychiatric “care” for the remainder of their tragically foreshortened lives in pursuit of an elusive happiness that will never arrive. You only need to understand “Covid” for evidence that there are many devils in the Illness Prolongation (formerly Health Care) industry who will gleefully prey on confused children so they can make their next payment on their luxury home and fancy car.

And don’t say they haven’t been abusing the emotionally vulnerable in this way for decades until you Google “plastic surgery gone wrong”. (Plastic surgery is a $10billion industry in the US that will be vigorously defended with intense moral indignation should one dare suggest that any component of that revenue might have been secured by the unscrupulous taking advantage of those who have psychological issues).

This “trans” thing is simply an attempt to expand a lucrative industry (and it will be defended -- surprise, surprise -- with intense moral indignation, the modus operandi of choice).

PITT? It's really called that? Hilarious. "Pitt" is swedish (slang/swear) for penis.

I lurv the logic of "why so upset, it doesn't concern/affect you".

My go-to reply vary with the retard/idiot/person in question:

Why should I care that Tesla and Apple an many others rely on child-slavery in the mines in Africa?

Why should I care about Hiroshima, I'm not japanese? (Replace with the Holocaust/jewish for a whopper reaction!)

And so on. It never fails, the "why should I care about X, I'm not Y" when the asker is your average trigger-fetishist po-mo living lobotomy.

My 4yo boy found, somewhere, (playground? parking lot?) a happy-meal toy figurine of Rapunzel from the disney movie. He loves that thing, he's named it Cinderellix (no, I have no idea what prompted that), and it rides around on his toy trucks and buses like his other plastic toy people (who are, weirdly, all named Edward, Eddie, or Mrs. Edward). For about a week, he kept asking me if he could have a dress like Cinderellix has.

I explained that when boys wear dresses, they can be robes, cassocks, kilts, or sarongs, and showed him some examples... but that Cinderellix's dress was girl clothes, so we wouldn't get one like that. After a week he lost interest, and that was that. All of his other interests are hilariously boy-stereotypical. Trucks. Buses. Tractors. Riding lawnmowers. Trains. Basically anything big and noisy with wheels. He's a very normal kid.

I keep thinking back to it, though, and wondering... I mean, little kids. This same kid still struggles with "he" and "she" because he has only brothers, that's who he's around all day, so absolutely everybody is a "he" by default. Even his mother. It'd be so *easy* for me, as a parent, to tip that over into terminal confusion, if I wanted to score virtue points with my woke FB friends, you know? They're smushy at that age. I *could* have gone out and bought him a Cinderellix dress, taken pictures of him happily playing in it, posted them all over social media, and declared that he was exploring his identity. It's just that I'm sane, my #1 parenting goal is for my kids to grow up into functional healthy adults.

Follow this One Weird Rule for Healthy Parenting:

Don't post pictures of your kids on the internet.

Just don't.

And don't follow people who do.

"I still don’t know, for example, what the word gender actually means."

It's technical term in grammar. The rest is a series of lies, begun decades ago by the pedophile, serial child-mutilator Dr. John Money, at Johns Hopkins.

“The best I can come up with is that gender is a feeling that describes what label you want society to attach to you.”

Good grief Rigger, surely that’s the worst you can come up with. Perhaps your article is sarcasm. It doesn’t work. It’s a complete waste of your intellect. I stopped reading after the above sentence. Sunday is a day of rest.
