A Thank You and Apologies

Firstly, a big thank you for all your comments.

I’ve been a bit squeezed for time this last week and this weekend is 2nd daughter’s birthday celebrations and she seems to have decided that her birthday needs a whole 5 days’ worth of celebration. Fine by me.

I’m being a bit unfair - it’s more accidental than intentional - her aunt and uncle have driven down from “Oop North” and so there have been a few things planned round that too.

Yesterday was a fabulous chicken and chorizo pasta bake made by daughter 2 (“the spare one”, as she calls herself) and some beer, followed by a comedy gig from a very-funny and delightfully ‘non-woke’ comedian. Today, interestingly, I’m heading over to daughter No1’s place with some food and nibbles where we’re all going to watch “What is a Woman?” and have a day basking in the warm glow of Matt Walsh’s inestimable sarcasm.

Not only are his analyses often first-rate, but I think he is almost without peer when it comes to his mastery of the art of sarcasm.

We might watch some Ben Shapiro too, but usually we have to set it to half-speed.

Anyway - I apologise for being even more lax than usual in responding to comments. Normal sluggish service, as opposed to sluggishly sluggish service, will be resumed shortly.
